Pirg Winery was founded in 2018 in Donja Šatornja, Topola Municipality, when the first vines were planted in their own vineyards. The guiding idea is that in the vineyards and in the winery, production takes place in the most natural way possible with a minimum of intervention in order to obtain high-quality wines that recognize the Šumadija terroir. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 320 to 400 meters above sea level, on the gentle slopes of Mount Rudnik. Large temperature differences between sunny days and cool nights give this terroir special characteristics when growing vines and grapes. On an area of 10 hectares, there are carefully selected plantings of the varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Tamjanika, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon Vranac and Marselan. The winery has installed the most modern oenological equipment for the production of high-quality wines. At the Great International Wine Evaluation MUNDUS VINI, held in 2024. in Germany, Winery Pirg won the GOLD Medal for white wine, Pirg Sauvignon Blanc, vintage 2021. As part of the winery, there is also a barrique hall for aging wine in French oak barrels. The vineyards belong to Oplenačko Vinogorje, Šumadija region.
