Ilić Distillery, located in the village of Arbanasce in the municipality of Merošina in southern Serbia, has produced award-winning, high-quality rakija since 2015. With two hectares of its own plum orchards, cultivating varieties such as Čačanska Rodna and Crvena Ranka, Ilić Distillery uses the traditional double distillation method in 350-liter copper stills. As of 2024, the distillery has also incorporated the indigenous local Moravka plum variety, native to south Serbia, into its production.
The distillery offers two distinctive rakijas: Quince rakija made from Leskovac quince, which retains a pure, authentic flavor by aging in stainless steel barrels, and plum rakija Barrique made from Čačanska Rodna and Stanley plums, aged for two years in barrique barrels crafted from top-quality oak, lending it a rich aroma and finish.
Ilić Distillery’s rakija has been awarded numerous gold and silver medals at prestigious events such as Wine Vision by Open Balkan and the Šumadija Rakija Festival in Kragujevac. With a fruit processing capacity of 50 tons and an annual production of up to 5,000 bottles, the distillery strives for steady growth, blending family tradition with a commitment to premium quality.
