On the estate of their ancestors Avram and Joksim, in the village of Gorjani, among the old and new plum trees, the Bosiljčić family has established a distillery, nestled against an ancient granite castle built as a tribute to their tradition and great-grandfathers who distilled brandy. In untouched nature, at an altitude of 550 meters and bathed in sunlight, lies a 15-hectare plum orchard, from which rakija is produced according to preserved great-grandfather recipes, using the most advanced technologies.
Bosiljčić Distillery has stainless steel fermenters for the simultaneous processing of 200 tons of pitted fruit, a column with five floors, a deflagmator, an aromatizer, and a 1500-liter pot indirectly heated by low-pressure steam.
The pure heart of rakija goes into a new oak barrel from which it is packaged for consumers.
The Bosiljčić family has been aging their fruit rakija since 2007, and only in 2022 did they appear on the market, aiming to meet customer demands.
