The Vinartos Winery is located in Bečej in the Potisk vineyard region. Vinartos is a small family winery that blends modern and traditional practices, focusing on the production of premium wines from its own vineyards.
Our main focus is on indigenous varieties from our plantations – Muscat Krokan, Tamjanika, and Furmint. Additionally, we also grow other varieties such as Franconia, Merlot, R. Riesling, and Chardonnay.
We have 4 hectares of vineyards. The vineyard location is in a plot called Medena duž, bordered on both sides by the old and new flows of the Tisa River. The name Medena duž best expresses the characteristics of the location, which has emerged from the long-standing experience of the locals in Bečej.
Since ancient times, the favorable and specific climate of Medena duž has encouraged the development of winemaking and the tradition of enjoying wine in this area.
The foundation of our philosophy and strategy is based on the strength and specificity of the terroir, rooted in the ancient alluvial deposits of the Tisa River and the old bed of the Pannonian Sea. The most prevalent surface soil is sand, interspersed with clay rich in specific minerals. At the deepest level, where the roots of the vines reach, there is sand with a higher clay content. The location in the confluence of two river valleys, excellent aeration, lower average daily temperatures, and cool nights contributes to exceptional varietal authenticity.
This specificity helps the grape varieties in our vineyards express a delicate character, full body, and a distinctly strong aromatic note.
