The Plavinac Winery is located in Smederevo on the slopes of the area of the same name. Its name originates from the numerous vineyards that once stretched across this region. Since grapes were sprayed with a blue stone compound, after the work was completed, the entire area would turn blue, hence the name.

It all started in 2010 when a small factory of flavors, aromas, and colors was born as a hobby in the cellar of a weekend house. Today, young vineyards cover 11 hectares, with 20 different grape varieties, producing over 50,000 liters of wine annually.

Our winery’s vineyards span 11 hectares across 4 locations within the Smederevo Wine Region. These four vineyards, thanks to their specific characteristics, suitable soil, and proximity to the Danube, are the source of the unique qualities and excellence of our wines. All four locations face the Danube at an altitude ranging from approximately 100 to 150 meters, and we proudly highlight that each location has a centuries-old tradition in vine cultivation.

We would especially like to mention the “Orešac” location, for which we have documents indicating that there was once a Roman fortress called “Aureus Mons” (translated as “Golden Hill”) on this hill.

We are proud that, in addition to our presence in the domestic market, we have successfully completed multiple wine exports to the United States and China.
