One hundred years of life, four generations, a century of Wine history in Italy. In a word: Rugate. From a privileged perspective, which is the Veneto region and precisely the province of Verona, one of the most vocated wine-growing areas on the planet, rich in native types and biodiversity, the Tessari family, since the beginning of the 1900s, has developed a virtuous path, which today allows it to be counted among the reference wineries in the national territory. History and future are intertwined in the headquarters that houses the winery in Montecchia di Crosara, not far from Verona, created and developed by the Tessari Family. An articulated family tree that from Amedeo Tessari, at the beginning of the last century, unravels up to the present day with the current leadership of Michele, passing through Fulvio and his son Amedeo, through a rare line of family continuity, whose simple values of loyalty and solidarity have represented and represent the indispensable basis for working and building a serious and lasting artisanal enterprise. Today Rugate is known all over the world for the quality and style of its wines, which are born from the work and care in the more than 90 hectares among Soave Classico, Valpolicella and Lessini Durello, where native varieties such as Garganega, Trebbiano di Soave and Durella are grown for the whites, and Corvina, Rondinella and Corvinone for the reds. Rugate is committed with the same concentration and focus on all four „cardinal points“ of the oenological scenario: sparkling – whites – reds – desserts and, for all four segments it has dedicated resources and specialized Human Capital in order to create value and excellence in each label produced. There are no „service wines“ for Rugate, but all labels are identifiably unique and distinctive. Rugate is a winery that produces about 750,000 thousand bottles, about 50% of which are destined for the international market, which is divided into 45 countries, while in Italy Rugate wines are widely present in 95 provinces. Wishing to provide a certification to the rigorous work of sustainability and respect for the environment that has always been practiced, Rugates vineyards are certified organic. Sensitivity to environmental sustainability is ideally combined with attention to people, their education and respect for the cultural traditions it brings with it. In this regard Rugate, over the years has invested in projects such as the Wine Museum reported as a significant site of regional interest, the Educational Farm, aimed at the dissemination of agricultural culture for schools and students, and the Social Farm, home to a wildlife park of over 3,000 square meters. An oasis of silence and nature of extraordinary beauty.
